Intro: How to Make Root Beer

I love Root Beer, it's an awesome beverage but the bad thing is, we don't have it in australia, but luckily with this recipe, they won't need to import any root beer in australia.

Step 1: You Will Need

1 sassasfras root

1 ginger root

1 wintergreen root

1 juniper root

1 dandelion root

1 vanilla root

1 licorice root

1 cinnamon root

1 teaspoon yeast

1 cup sugar

cold water

1 barley grass root

1 anise root

1 burdock root

1 yellow dock root

1 spikenard root

1 lemon

Step 2: Method

1. Put the sugar into a bottle.

2. Put the yeast into the bottle.

3. Put the roots into the bottle.

4. Fill the rest of the bottle up with the cold water.

5. Juice the lemon an put the juice into the bottle.

6. Allow to brew for 4 days.

    One ginger root; a measurement in itself. You buy ginger in roots!

    the only accurate measurements are one cup of sugar and one lemon, the rest is pretty useless unless you want to do a ton of trial and error.

    Ok soooooo. This makes a 2l??? And when you say "one ginger root" (for example) does that mean one pound? One ounce? One teaspoon? One what??? This recipie is quite inaccurate please add specific measurements otherwise this is pretty much an instruct able fail lol thanks for the list of necessary roots though

    Where did you get this recipe? I've been trying to find a recipe that didn't use concentrate for days! How does it taste? What is the volume of the batch made from these proportions?
