In this instructable I will show you how to make and use a green screen for making photos and videos. There are several green screen apps out there you can use to get the right effect.
- Video recording device (could be iPod, iPad, or iPhone)
- Green butcher paper
- Good lighting
Step 1: Decide on an App
As well as built in videos, you can also import videos & pictures of your own. Amaze your friends by appearing in a starring role alongside your favorite movie or pop star. Or show them your holiday to the seven wonders of the world without actually having been there.
Featured in "Best New Apps in Education" in iTunes. Green Screen by Do Ink makes it easy to create incredible green screen videos right on your iPad. With Green Screen by Do Ink, you can tell a story, explain an idea, and express yourself in truly creative and unique ways.
Step 2: Stand in Front of Green Screen
Make sure you have good lighting!
Amazon sells a $80 kit with a professional screen and lighting if you are interested
Step 3: Follow the Directions in Your App
Many times you will tap the green space in the background to adjust the effect.
You also need to import the video you want to use, or choose one provided by the app.
If you need to download a video off of Youtube for the background, first find the video. Next, try typing "ss" directly before the word "youtube" in the url.
Step 4: Optional: IMovie App
You can import your green screen movie into iMovie to polish it off!
Step 5: Share!
Whether it's on your class webpage, Edmodo, or class Facebook page, share your students' work!
