Next start to form any major features

Step 4: Attach the Shapes

Add either toothpicks or bamboo skewers as needed for support.

Smooth out the area where the two pieces meet to make it appear more natural.

Step 5: Add Large Details

Add larger Details such as limbs, eyes, mouths, tails, etc.

Step 6: Add Smaller Details

add tings like texture, scales, teeth, fingers and toes. Don't be afraid to use things besides clay

Step 7: Things to Avoid

Using from one piece. Make sure you uses separate parts or your work will look lumpy and awkward.

Incomplete mixing of clay. Your work often looks sloppy if you mix incompletely!

sculpting to big. This can hurt your hands and compromises the structural integrity of your work.

Step 8: Have Fun!

You can use your sculpture in claymation, and other projects such as dioramas, or you can display them.
