Introduction: How to Make a Hidden Blade Prop

You can easily make my design using materials easily found at home,in the back of your closet,or under your bed.As soon as you finish ,you will be able to admire your work as an inventor.Above is the pic of the finished product,blade retracted.

Step 1: Materials
You will need:
A bic pen
an old soccer sock
some sort of stretchy thing that can fit on your wrist,like a rubber band(i used an old ipod armband)
Step 2: Making the Gauntlet
Using scissors ,cut the sock so that you have a thumbhole slightly under the top finger holes.fold up the extra sock to form a pocket
Step 3: Make the Blade Mechanism
First take apart the pen.Insert the toothpick inside the ink cartridge and put the ink back into the pen backwards .Reassemble the pen.The ink cartridge should slide out the front.
Step 4: Putting It All Together
Put the sock/glove on to your hand..Slide the pen/blade into this pocketyou made earlier, and secure it with the rubber band (or whatever you used).
Step 5: Finished!
Take the cap off the pen whenever you wan to use it and flick your wrist and..........
