Introduction: How to Make a Quick and Easy Clothespin Gun
A small clothespin gun that is easy to make and is very powerfull with very few and easy to find items. Can (depending on clothespin) can sometimes shoot through paper. note: can actualy cause some one to bleed/shoot eye out. Shooting sharp objects is not recomened. =)

Step 1: Whats Needed:
there are a few things needed as said before:
wooden clothespin (plastic will NOT work). These can be bought in a pack of 50 for a few dollars
knife or bottle opener
small rubber band or any rubber band. Like clothespins can be bought in large quantiies cheaply
pair of tweezers (not needed but recomended for repairs/adjustments)
Step 2: Disasembling the Clothespin
As the title says take apart the clothespin. Mind to not break the wood part or bend the metal. To me the easiest way is to kind of slide the clothespin apart
Step 3: Attach Trigger
Now this is were it gets a little tricky. What you are pretty much doing is puting the metal back on one on the other side. Most clothespins on the metal part have a short part and long part, make sure that the short part is on the flat or outside and the long on the bumbed or inside of the clothes pin. Once again it is easier to slide it on but to kind of open it. The spring like part must be going towards the the pointed end and the long part wont be in a slot.
Step 4: Setting the Trigger Grove or Holder
On the inside or bumpy side there is a curved area were the spring once stood. What needs to be done is that the curved must be cut/filed to a vertical divet were the longer metal can be held in. To do this is to take a knife or bottle opener and cut/scrape the wood down and in. To make sure that is good enough take the top as shown in last pic and pull it back and see if the trigger stays in the divet.
Step 5: Finishing Touches
The last, simplest, and most important in making this shoot is the top or cocking mechanism
First place the other close pin as shown
Second put ruber band on and loop it once or twice so it holds it in place but is not extremely tight
just too easy...
Step 6: Shooting the "gun"
Like when you were testing the divet, pull the metal back so the trigger comes up. then let the top go/push it back up and carefully place the project tile (if paper make it thick and even no dangling parts for it will shoot off). I say carefully due to it may fire and hit your fingers and i have made my finger tips bleed for not being careful many times in a row. Hold as shown. Aim and well...pull the trigger.
Step 7: Repairs and Adjustments
As being a "cheap" gun, it need few and easy repairs/adjustments. One is if the shooting part of the metal is crooked just a little it may make the gun shoot side ways. The easiest way to fix it is to take tweezers and bend it till it is straight. The other one is were what holds the shooting part back gets worn, it starts shooting randomly or not holding at all. So simple repeat step 4 a little till it is fixed. Last one that is not shown is that the spring may become weak. So simply replace it, because you cant realy fix it...
