Have you ever wondered if a zigzag could even fly? The Zigzag is one of the weirdest paper airplane designs. You might think that this plane won't fly, but just wait until you try it. All you need is some normal A4 printer paper. Follow the instructions and read carefully. Enjoy!
Step 1: Fold #1
Fold the paper in half, then unfold.
Step 2: Fold #2
Fold both outside edges into the center, then unfold.
Step 3: Folds #3,4,5,6
Now the model should look like this, then turn the paper over.
Fold the left edge inwards to the fold line on the far right, then unfold.
Then in the same way, fold the right edge to the fold line on the far left, then unfold it.
Now it should look like this (last photo).
Step 4: Folds #7,8
Fold the outside edge of each side to the nearest fold line and then unfold as in the picture above.
Step 5: Folds #9,10
Fold the paper in half as shown in the picture, then unfold.
Step 6: Folds #11,12,13
Fold the bottom edge upwards to the center fold line.
Then fold the new bottom edge upwards again, also to the center fold line.
Now fold it upwards one more time, this time along the center fold line.
Then turn the paper over.
Step 7: Fold #14
Use the folds that you just made to make the model like this.
Pick up the model and hold it as shown in the picture.
Step 8: How to Fly the Plane
Hold the model by pressing hard on the thick layers. launch it in a gentle way, and it will surprisingly fly well !
Step 9: Thanks for Reading!
I did this Instructable because I found this plane interesting, and it also surprised me.
I hope you enjoyed it and find that it flies well for you, too.
Thank you !
