Introduction: How to Peel an Egg, the Awesome Way

About: Hi! I'm a twenty-something journalism student from the Netherlands. This is how I roll. I love cooking, technology, beauty, fashion and I have a healthy obsession with shiny and cute things.
Get eggs, boil water, add eggs, boil 8 minutes, cool, peel a little of bottom and a little of the top, blow on top! make it bounce!

I've watched it multiple times, but I still can't get it to work. Any chance you could add more instructions on this? I would absolutely love to be able to do this, as I'm sick of peeling the eggs by hand.

Basicly, you need to peel a bit of both ends of the eggs. A little more of the bottom though. Then blow as hard as you can on the smallest side. Takes a little practice.

Only do it hard boiled. I tried a runny yolk and blew molten yolk all over my hand and kitchen. Lesson learnt

Boiling for 8 minutes will over cook your eggs! Bring to a boil, then take off heat, cover, and let sit for exactly 12 minutes. Then cool them QUICKLY to stop the cooking process. Perfect eggs every time. Love your peeling method! Going to go try it out right now. haha

This video made me laugh! You got my vote! I have never thought of that before!

this is awesome...we have chickens and we can't keep up with the eggs so all the extra eggs get boiled and our dog will eat them but it's a pain in the but to peel them all

How do u upload a video without utube or other thing like that?

I think you can just select the video and add it as a file to the Instructable, but I haven't tried that.

That is awesome! I've never seen it done that way with a hard-boiled egg. Some better lighting, and you're well on the way to a feature/free shirt as part of the Burning Questions contest (9/16/13 - 10/28/13.)
