My Hilux had a leaking rear crankshaft seal so I had to split the engine from the transmission to replace the seal. Rather than breaking my back trying to extract the trans from below, I decided to lift the engine out, It is a much easier way to do it if you have an engine lift, endless chain or heavy winch.
