Image to Printable Stl File

This tutorial shows how to create a printable 3d object (as stl file) from one ore more 2d images ("The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli and a "Venus of Milo" depth image). It took less than 10 minutes in eXtrudy and is ready for 3d printing.

1. Get eXtrudy from thingiverse or - it's really free - no demo, no registration, no spyware
2. Run the application and follow the 2d to 3d workflow
4. Save the final 3d object to your computer
5. Print the object with your 3d printer or send it to an online 3d printing service
6. Enjoy

    Salva3D only works if your internet connection is up and running.

    There are two problems with all online apps:

    1. Once you have no internet, you loose use of the program!

    2. Because your work is uploaded, the website can easily steal your copyrighted project files and claim that they are public domain.

    I prefer the offline, install on your computer programs like extrudy to reduce the number of things that can keep me from using the program from 3 to 2.

    1. Power outage.

    2. Computer crash.
