Infrared(IR) Remote Operated Switch

About: Hi, I am Sagar Sapkota. I am Electronics engineer living in Sydney, Australia. I love to work with electronic gadgets and build DIY kits. I publish my work on my site www.buildcircuit.com and Instructables...

This DIY remote operated switch works with TSOP4838 infrared receiver and there is a 5V relay to operate appliances that work on 220V AC.

To make the kit work, you just need a general TV/DVD remote or you can also build your own IR transmitter.

The maximum distance between the kit and IR remote can be around 3 meters.

Once you switch it on, it remains on until you press the remote again, which means that there are two stable states(ON and OFF).

Question 4 months ago on Introduction

Is it possible for you to send me the IR code that trigger the relay. I can use Arduino to emulate it. If you do; please indicate what protocol ( NEC, Sony etc)

I can also use RAW if needed.

I tried several remotes none responded
