Hi, this is my first instructable. We were asked to do a project involved in a 'Halloween week theme' using Arduino. The project was for 'Use of English I', a 3rd grade subject of the Industrial Design Engineering bachelor at Elisava School of Design. It's an interactive pumpkin made to be a decorative object using Arduino UNO R3.
This project was made by Alexia Boet and Sara Perez.

Step 1: Step 1: What You'll Need
- 1 box
- 1 pumpkin
- 1 RGB LED
- Arduino Uno
- Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04
- 1 servo motor MMSV001
- Jumper cables
9V Battery for the servo
Step 2: Step 2: the Circuit
This is the arduino connection scheme. There's 1 servo connected to ground, 5V and pin 11, and then the proximity sensor tied to pins 5 and 6. There's also the LED tied to pins 8, 9 and 10. These (pictures above) are the connection schematic used (left) and how it looked at the end once built (right).
Step 3: Step 3: the Code
Here we have attached the Arduino Code with every step well explained. (You can find the file attached)
Step 4: Step 4: Final
This is how it looked when it was built. We also attached a video so you'll be able to know how it works.
