Hello everyone!

This wooden toy racecar was the first wooden toy I made a while ago!

Step 1: Step 1: Prepping the Wood

For the racecar you'll need wooden blocks with these dimensions:

- 18.5cm long

- 4.2 cm high

- 4.5cm wide

Step 2: Step 2: Drilling a Lot of Holes

First let's drill 7mm holes for the wheel axles to go through.

After that put two racecar-blocks together and drill with a forstner bit an opening all the way through.

Now it's time to make the seat with a huge drill (two different depths).

Step 3: Step 3: Final Shaping for the Racecar

I transfered my pattern onto the wooden block and I'm trying to do my best to cut it out at the tablesaw. But you can use a scroll saw or a bandsaw for this.

Because I did the rough shaping on the tablesaw I have a lot of work with the rasp and the belt sander.

Sand the seat with the dremel tool. And finish the outside with some handsanding.

Step 4: Step 4: the Axles, Wheels and Finishing!

For the wheel axles you'll need a wooden dowel. But you can make one yourself if you start with 6mmx6mm and push it through a cutting die with your drill. And you'll end up with a 6mm dowel :). You'll only need to sand it smooth!

For the wheels I'm using 8mm thick wood and I'm using a 50mm holesaw. I'm sanding them with the help of my drill!

Glue on the wheels, with a washer in between. And you're ready!
