A very easy way to make a hardy toolbelt in no time.

Step 1: Materials

  • an old pair of jeans
  • scissors

Step 2: The Cut

Cut the legs of the jeans following the dashed line on the picture.

Start from the inner part and be careful not to cut the pockets: you will need them!

Cut the zipper to fully open the trousers.

Step 3: Done

Place your hand tools in the pockets.

Done! :-)

Step 4: Notes

If the jeans were too tight to fit you, you can leave the button open and use an old belt to hold it up.

You can also use snap hooks on the belt loop to easily fasten/unfasten your tools.

I used to do this as a kid to my old jeans that I would tear up (I was and still am hard on clothes). Nice to see that others had the same idea. I like the use of the belt though, that was always my short fall (I outgrew my tool belt).

Thank you very much! I'm happy to know you liked my idea of using gloves instead of my own hands.

Why didn't I thought of this earlier, so obvious! And very practical. My next pair of old pants will be used as a first try.
