Jet Toy Car for Kids




How to make a Jet Toy Car for children in order to show Newton's Third Law of movement.

You only need a rectangular piece of cardboard, drinking straws, two skewers, a balloon, four bottle plastic caps and adhesive tape.

Tha action of the air getting out of the balloon implies a reaction that moves the vehicle forward.

    When I was a kid and used to visit a family friend of my grandmother's we would make airplanes similar to this. She always had the stuff stocked at her house for us to make the airplanes when we came over. It uses pretty much the same principle and instead of taping the straw to the "frame" you tape wings and tail stabilizers onto the straw. Make these with kids and they are sure to remember you forever. :D
