Intro: K'Nex V8 Engine

This is a V8 mod of Geonovast's V4. Also, see the video of it meeting it's demise.

Hey does this actually work? because ive got a knex car chassis (About 3'x2') and this would make a perfect add-on. If it does work, how much power would it crank out? if it doesnt, do you know anything like this that does work?

Well, seeing as how in a real car the combustion is what creates the power so since this does not have the ability to com bust. The power output is zero, you need a motor such as a drill to make this work.

Well i know that. Of course you need a drill. I want to know how much power this needs to move and how much it cuts down on torque. Also, how much power can it take before it starts to break.

Right but what you asked isn't the information you're trying to get. You asked "How much power would it crank out" meaning to me your asking how much power or (HP) it could put out by itself.

Someone should get all knexers on this site together and make something life- size and amazing like a full size car featuring this baby for example. Someone popular who lives in a good area with millions of knex should do that it would be so cool!

Actually, the best way to do this would be to have various people make different parts, then bring them all together and connect them to see what happens. For example, I know how to make a relatively stable wheel as far as k'nex goes.

In all fairness, what I'm saying is general politeness. People don't particularly like getting mails about replies to comments old enough that they don't remember why they said it.
