Многих привлекает японская культура, в частности большой интерес вызывают, самураи и не малую роль в возбуждении этого интереса играют их доспехи.

Выкладываю на Ваш суд, как изготовить самурайский шлем - кабуто и боевую маску - мэнгу из бумаги.

За основу взяты прилагаемые развертки, которые находятся в свободном доступе.

Many people are attracted by the Japanese culture. Especially samurai raise a huge interest, and their weapons play the essential role in increasing this interest.
I introduce to your judgment the instruction how to make the samurai’s helmet - kabuto and a war mask - mempo a paper.

The attached scanning, which is taken for free, was taken as a basis.

Step 1:

Шлем и маска собраны из бумаги для черчения плотностью 200 г/м2.

Укреплены с двух сторон эпоксидной смолой, а затем повторно укреплены эпоксидной смолой с марлевыми бинтами.

Томоэ (узор на ушах) и камон (герб) вырезал из полимерной глины.
Также из полимерной глины наращивались элементы на маске.

The helmet and the mask are made up of paper for drawing with the density of 200 g/m2.
Their both sides were strengthened with the epoxy and then repeatedly strengthened with the epoxy and gauze bandages.

Tomoa ( an ornament on ears) and camon (an emblem) are cut from the polymer clay.

Also we made up the elements from the polymer clay on the mask.

Step 2:

После укрепления с помощью термоклея на шлем и щатки приклеел провод с алюминиевой сердцевиной для имитации ребер.

Так называемые уши на шлеме были переделаны, вырезаны из тонкого пластика, так как из бумаги очень уж ненадежно.

После укрепления все детали были прошпатлеваны и отшлифованы (использовалась шпатлевка по дереву).

When the elements were strengthened with a help of thermoglue, a wire with an aluminum core was fixed for the imitation of ribs.

The so-called ears on the helmet were remade, cut out from a thin plastic because paper turned out to be unreliable.

After strengthening all the details were puttied and polished (We used putty for wood).

Step 3:

Для имитации шипов были использованы болты с закругленными колпачками.

Дырки в шлеме проделывались дрелью.

The round-head bolts were used for imitation of spikes.

The holes in the helmet were done with a drill.

Step 4:

Из плотной бумаги были вырезаны рога и основа на которую крепится камон.

Данный элемент также был укреплен с помощью эпоксидной смолы, прошпатлеван и отшлифован. Декоративные элементы нарощены при помощи полимерной глины.

Основа для камона закреплена на шлеме при помощи болта, аналогично шипам.

The horns and the basis, which holds the camon, are made of heavyweight paper.
These elements were also fixed with a help of the epoxy, puttied and polished.

Ornamental elements were built up with polymer clay.

Step 5:

После окончательной шлифовки все элементы были прогрунтованы.

After the final polishing all the elements were primed.

Step 6:

Стойка сделана из пластиковой банки, тубы из под фольги, в пустоты которой с торцов помещены пластиковые яйца из под Киндер Сюрприза для сглаживания, ну и банка из под чипсов Принглс (сверху открывается крышка, можно даже использовать в качестве тайника..)

После изготовления также была прогрунтована и окрашена аналогично шлему.

The support stand was made of a plastic can and a tube of the foil. The inside of the tube was filled with Kinder Surprise plastic eggs in order to smooth the surface. The can from the chips Pringles can be used as a hiding-place due to its cover that opens.
When the support stand was made, it was primed and painted by analogy with the helmet.

Step 7:

После грунта на шлем нанесена эмаль черного цвета (глянец), на маску эмаль глубокого красного цвета.

When the helmet was primed, we applied the enamel in black color (the gloss) on the helmet and the enamel in red color.

Step 8:

Затем шлем был дополнительно окрашен сухой кистью акриловой краской - цвет золото, обильными размашистыми движениями.

Декоры окрашивались смесью цветов золота и красного.

Then the helmet was additionally covered with acrylic golden paint with a dry brush and abundant wide movements.
The ornaments were painted with the mixture of golden and red colors.

Step 9:

Внутрь вклеен подшлемник сшитый из кожезаменителя красного цвета с мягкой подкладкой.

Щитки между собой и шлемом связаны широким обувным шнурком красного цвета, продевались в предварительно просверленные отверстия.

The innerhelmet, made of artificial leather of red color, with a soft lining were glued into the inside of the helmet.
The shields between each other and the helmet are bounded with a wide shoelace of red color. The shoelace was put through the holes drilled beforehand.

Step 10:

Дополнительно в качестве декора на щитках приклеены пуговицы с объемным изображением птицы-феникс (схожий с изображением камона).

В интерьере смотрится внушительно!

Additionally the buttons with an apparent image of the bird-Phoenix, similar to the image of camon, were glued onto the shields as the ornaments.
It looks very imposing in the interior!
