Introduction: Kalbi Ribs

About: I love to cook and love to see peoples faces when they enjoy the foods i cook.

This is a recipe that I have use so much. It is my go to for ribs next to rubbing and smoking!

I have used this on short ribs, country style ribs, baby back and spare ribs too.

I also have a Korean style one that you must try too!

Step 1: Ingredients

2 tablespoons Brown sugar

3 TablespoonsSoy sauce

1 TablespoonSake

1 Tablespoon Mirin

1 teaspoon Dark sesame oil

1 tsp. toasted and crushed sesame seeds

2 Cloves garlic, minced

1 1/2 Stalks Scallions, Slice on a bias

1/4 tsp. Black pepper

16 oz of ribs ( that is 1 lb for those who need other measurements)

You can use any weight of meat just double all the ingredients!

Step 2: Rub Ribs

Rub the ribs with brown sugar and let sit for at least 15 mins while you mix the last 9 ingredients.

Once ready let marinate the ribs place the ribs in an container that will hold ribs. I always use roasting bags for turkeys they work well for long ribs.

You can cut the short ribs and spare ribs in small sections if you like.

Now marinate for at least 1 hour, I do this in morning and let sit till dinner time!

Remove from marinate and take to grill!

Now it is grilling til, I use my rotisserie for this but you can use your grill just like normal.

You cook spare and baby back ribs till internal temp. reaches about 190 to 203 if you find they are caramelizing to fast wrap in foil and finish them at a lower temp. till it reaches this temp.

I serve this recipe with steamed rice and spinach banchan. You can choose what you like for your sides!
