Introduction: K'nex - 1942 M1A1 Thompson Review

Hey guys, and welcome to another of my reviews. Today we are looking at the M1A1 Thompson used by the United States Of America in World War II, The Korean War and it was used for a short while during the Vietnam War. There were many names for it such as the ''Trench Boom", "Chicago Typewriter", "The Chopper" and "Tommy Gun". Many variants of the Thompsons had different parts, design, ammo and rate of fire.

Anyway let's talk about the M1A1 Thompson, it's not my own design since I followed the instructions from Rofl495 and after I finished building it, I made quite of a lot of adjustments to make it look a lot better than it originaly did.

The differences between my M1A1 and Rofl495 M1A1:

. I have made the stock slightly smaller so you have a better eye view in the iron sights

· I have made the hand grip at the front more comfortable to grip with.

. Rol495 shoots grey connectors, mine doesn't because it is just a model

Good Points

· Comfortable Hand Grip

· Good Iron Sights

· Removable Magazine

. Very Realistic

Bad Points

· The Stock Is Flimsy

. Uses A Lot Of Cut Pieces

Specifications For A Real M1A1 Thompson

· Designed - Between 1917 & 1920

· Number Built - 1,750,000

· Ammo - 11.43×23mm 45 ACP

· Rate Of Fire - 625 Rounds Per Minute

· Powered - Blowback and Blish Lock

· Range - Between 55 & 220 yards

Overall I really love this. I like the feel you get when you handle it and it is very well detailed. RolfI495 has made a very good Thompson for Instructables because he made instructions and it does looks fantastic with my improvements.

In Call Of Duty: Zombies, the M1A1 Thompson is available in all World At War maps and in the re-mastered maps in Black Ops. In WAW it is available from the Mystery Box for 950 points and also it can be bought off the wall for 1200 points and as for BO it can only be obtained off the wall. Speed Cola will cut reload time to just 1.5 seconds and Double Tap will increase the rate of fire as it is slow. When it is Pack-A-Punched for 5000 points it becomes the "Gibs-O-Matic" where you get more ammo, more damage, bigger magazine and a higher rate of fire. A fairly good Pack-A-Punched weapon against the zombies but the ammo can run low very quickly, but the good thing is ammo can be bought off the wall.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
