Introduction: K'nex Codsworth | Fallout 4

About: 3D printing enthusiast

"That means you're, erm... two centuries late for dinner! Perhaps I could whip you up a snack? You must be famished!"

Codsworth is a Mister Handy robotic butler for the Sole Survivor's family before the Great War and survived the nuclear explosion. Codsworth lives in Sanctuary hills and can be potentially recruited as a companion and only appears in Fallout 4. Mr Handy's are a series of robot's produced before the Great War and are named Mr Handy due to their large number of hands. They are fully capable of keeping themselves in working condition, can perform many actions with their range of tools, hover a few feet off the ground and can even help around the house! Read on if you want to know how to acquire your own personal Codsworth!

This build uses only 88 pieces. There are no modified/broken pieces however some pieces are slightly bent, but not enough to do any noticeable permanent damage to them. The robot can turn vertically, and each eye an arm is individually pose-able.

Let's get building!

Step 1: Piece Count

  • 9x 4-Slot Silver 3D Connector
  • 1x 7-Slot Dark Blue 3D Connector

Total: 88 Pieces

Step 2: Stand and Hovering Device

Taking a page from the eyebot's book, the spherical shape of Codsworth's body was made with 3D connectors. The pictures explain the steps and guide you through the build. Build what you see.

Step 3: The Arms

What would a Mr Handy be without its hands? Well, it certainly wouldn't be very handy! Again, build what you see.

Step 4: The Head

This was probably my favourite part to build as the 'eyes' give the robot so much character! Just build what you see.

Step 5: Extras and Posing

The clip at the top just keeps the head from falling off if somehow Codsworth ends up upside-down. The arms are posed just like the in-game robot himself. You can easily change it though if you don't like how it looks!

Step 6: Finished!
