PDW-57 V1.0

About: I like to build with K'nex. While I may not be the best at it, I still enjoy it nonetheless. I go to school in the state of Ohio, and am a sophomore in high school. I like playing video games too.

Hey guys! I'm back (six months ago I posted a sword :/) with a PDW based off of the weapon from the game Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.  It does not shoot, but the magazine does flip out of the side, making it pretty cool in my opinion. This is the first PDW on the site as far as I know, so that's a good thing I guess. This is only version 1, so there can always be changes. Please, tell me what you like, what you don't like, and what I need to change. Even though this is my first gun, please don't be kind to me because of it. I want honesty so I can improve instead of building things that people don't like. I will read every comment, so please tell me your honest thoughts.

UPDATE: You can check in the comments on my progress towards the second version.

Did you look in the bottom of the comments section, because if you didn't there are a lot of improvements that I ended up making.

Nice job I have asked a lot of ppl 2 build this but it's a complicated build

The top part looks good, though I'd flatten the front of it (white connector with the green on it, just in front of the magazine)
The front grip, handle and handle-stock bar need some work. The front grip is hard, but try to get it a bit closer to the real one. Maybe you can try modding The Dunkis' PDR front grip to fit on this gun.
The handle-stock bar needs to be a bit fatter, and a better angle.
The handle should be a bit shorter IMO, and also needs a better angle.
The stock end looks a bit rough, maybe tidy that a bit up.
The proportions length-wise are pretty good. The gun needs to be a bit fatter (higher) though, mainly the main body.
Good job for a first version / gun. It just needs some work, the start is there.

I've just begun the second version based on what you've said. Would a yellow (5-way connector) with a green rod attached to a white connector attached to another yellow by a green rod be high enough for the main body?

Here are two new thicknesses matched up with the original ones. I think the second one (the one in the middle) looks the best.

    Yeah, indeed.
Maybe you can use the left one for the very front part (that sticks down below the body) and the back of the stock

Thanks. I was wondering if you were working on something right now. I can't work on anything at the moment, but when I can I hope to finish this up then move on to possibly make the M27.

Almost done! Just need to finish the stock up and do a bit more to the handle, then I can start............ Editing it again!
