10 LED's (shown here: 3mm ultrabright slow color changing LED's 20mA 3V)
10 resistors which are calculated to meet the needs of your LED (shown here: 330 Ohm)
several feet of strong string
small bubble wrap
Step 2: Create the LED Star
Step 3: Cut the Bottle
Step 4: Battery Holder, String, and Handle
Step 5: Install the Lights
Step 6: Close It Up
Connect the battery, push the top of the bottle inside the bottom (pushing one side all the way in first helps), and either tape or velcro the tabs on the bottle bottom to the top to secure.
Step 7: Take Them for a SPIN!
If you are new to poi spinning, here are the easiest moves:
-- Spin both poi, on on each side of your body, in a forward direction synchronously. Try to make most of the movement with your wrists.
-- Alternate arms while spinning in the same direction
Remember to unplug your battery when you are done, so that it lasts as long as possible.
It really looks beautiful, even with simple moves.
Enjoy your creation!
