This simple hot glue craft allows you to preserve a leaf- with a few quick steps.
Step 1: Supplies
For this project you'll need:
- a rubber potholder
- hot glue
- a tiny leaf
- a popsicle stick
Step 2: Starting the Capsule
Start by making a puddle of hot glue- about the size of a dime. Do this on the pot holder! The glue won't stick to it so you can peel it off later.
Step 3: Placing the Leaf
Place the leaf in the center of the puddle. Use the popsicle stick to help.
Step 4: Seal Your Creation
Now apply hot glue over the top of the leaf- and wait for your creation to dry.
Step 5: Finish
Trim away any excess glue and show it off to your friends and Family!

I'm always looking out for ideas for making my tree and plant ID markers for use outside. Am I crazy to think I could make these on a much larger scale, such as fist-sized? Yours came out beautifully.

That sounds like a great idea! But instead of hot glue, I would use epoxy. and maybe use some type of mold.
