Advice:

Leather: 2.0mm (5oz) leather for surface, size 29cm x 72cm.

Hardware: No need.

Tools: If you are a new leather player, try to considerate to have tool kit here:

Step 1: Cut Soles and Make Long Holes on It, Please Use Round Punch to Punch 2 Holes and Make 2 Tangent Lines to Have a Long Hole.

Step 2: Then the Tips of Herringbone.

Step 3: Now We Prepare to Make One Slipper.

Step 4: Draw Stitching Line on Sole.

Step 5: Punch Stitching Holes Around 3 Long Holes, Paint Glue on Sole's Flesh Side Hole and 2 Tips of Herringbone.

Step 6: Insert 2 Pieces of Herringbone in the Top Long Hole, Fold and Glue the Tips.

Step 7: Insert 2 Pieces of Herringbone in the Other 2 Long Holes, Fold and Glue the Tips As the Step Above.

Step 8: For Comfort, We Glue a Piece of Sponge on Heel Place.

Step 9: Full Paint Glue on Both Soles and Glue Them Together.

Step 10: Use Groover to Make Groove Along the Stitching Line, Then When You Sew, the Thread Will Be in the Groove, the Thread Won't Be Worn Out, Punch Stitching Holes in Groove Use Chisel.

Step 11: Now Sew the Sole Around Stitching Hole, Also Sew Herringbone On.

Step 12: Glue One More Sole Leather on Bottom, the Slipper Is OK, of Course, You Can Glue More Sole Leathers on to Get a More Comfortable Slipper.

Step 13: We Will Open Other Instruction to Introduce How to Polish Edge.
