Introduction: Leftover Barbecue Meat - What to Do?

You don't want your guests to go hungry - so you cook far too much meat. What can you do with the leftovers? You don't want to throw away good food. Why not make this pasta dish, which is quick, easy and delicious.

Step 1: What You Need

Cooked meat, such as sausages, burgers, steak or chops
Tomato sauce, home made,eg (https://www.instructables.com/id/Homemade-Tomato-Sauce/) or from a jar
Any herbs or vegetables you have around
Pasta
Grated Parmesan cheese

FOOD SAFETY: make sure the meat is cooked through on the barbecue, then refrigerate as soon as possible and use next day. Heat through thoroughly in the sauce, then serve immediately.

Step 2: Make the Sauce

Slice or chop the meat into bite size pieces. Heat the tomato sauce, then stir in the meat and simmer gently while the pasta cooks. Season well and add fresh herbs if available.

I used bratwurst and burgers (beef and lamb) and parsley.

Step 3: Cook the Pasta

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente.

Step 4: Serve Up

Dish up the pasta and the sauce and add grated Parmesan cheese if you like.
