Introduction: Logic NOT Gate
A NOT gate is often referred to an INVERTER. Inverters simply output the opposite as the input. When the input is forced to logic HIGH (1) the output is forced to logic LOW (0) and vice versa. The symbol and truth table for an NOT gate can be seen here.
