MAGNETIC Cable Organisation

Introduction: MAGNETIC Cable Organisation

Whats the worst thing about getting new tech?

MESSY CABLES. They look horrible, and it takes twice as long to plug anything in. This lesson will help you cut through the clutter with the power of magnets.

Supplies:

All you will need:

  • cheap magnets
  • hot glue and gun
  • (optional) longer cables
  • (optional) zip ties

Step 1: The Base Plate

This is the part that won't move. Choose carefully a place that is near a socket and a flat surface to hold your tech. I have mine on my bedside table and the edge of my desk.

All you need to do is put a dab of hot glue on the magnet and press down hard. You might want to draw a quick cross where you want it to go to avoid confusion and wonky placement.

Step 2: Final Touches..

Swap out any short cables for long cables that can allow more freedom of movement. Tether any loose ends with some small zip ties and you're finished!

I hope you found this useful, if so please consider voting for me in the magnets challenge! :)
