"MaimDust" Action Figure

Introduction: "MaimDust" Action Figure

About: I'm handling most of the shipping here at Instructables, as well as learning to run the new 3D printers. Feel free to PM me if you have any concerns about receiving something in the mail.

This is one in a series of action figures featuring the faces of the Instructables staff. Using the technique detailed in this Instructable, we created a 3D model of lamedust's face. I then used Meshmixer to attach his face to the body of a model posed in DAZ studio. This figure was printed on an Objet Connex 500.

I would have uploaded the STL, but the file is too large to host on Instructables. You can find the STL here if you'd like to print your own, edit, or look at the model.

You can find the other action figures in the series here:

You are correct! Please accept this explanation quoted from the main Instructable (which is linked to in the description of this article):

"First off, let me start by saying that I know this isn't a real action figure. It has zero points of articulation, meaning that the "action" portion of the word is conspicuously absent. But I'll eat my hat before I admit that I play with dolls or figurines, so for the duration of this 'ible what I made is an action figure. Deal with it."
