Introduction: Make Goopy Cube Friends Out of Oogoo!

About: I love incorporating odd and quirky things to my projects to give them more life!

This instuctable includes detailed instructions on how to make cute, squishy, adorable colored cubes made from a material called "Oogoo" They are very easy to make, as well as being fun to make! These cubes can be colored, or drawn on by markers as well! Big thanks to mikey77 for making the tutorial that taught me to make Oogoo. Please go check out his page.

Step 1: Supplies

Supplies needed for making Oogoo:

100% Corn Starch

100% clear silicone caulk

Something to mix in such as a plastic cup or bucket

Optional:

Latex gloves

Oil based paints (For Color)

Step 2: Step 1: Mixing

For step one mix roughly 1 : 1 Mix ratio of Corn starch and Silicon. The mixture should look like small clumps of goop not necessarily stuck together, but mix until they do. If the mixture doesn't stick at all, add more Silicon, and if it sticks like crazy, add more Corn starch.

Also if you want a colored cube, now is the time to add paint to the mix.

Step 3: Sculpting

After the mixture is the right consistency, scoop up the mixture into your hands and roll it into a ball, the more you roll it, the more pliable. After the mixture is the consistency of squishy clay, you should pat the clay with Corn starch to keep it from sticking too much.

Step 4:

Next just flatten the sides of the Oogoo into a square shape. I didn't get too many pictures of this because my hands were covered with silicon.

Step 5: Enjoy!

Now just set the cube on a zip-lock bag, and rotate every now and then to evenly dry each side.

Optional:

while your new friends are drying, you can cut the cube in half and make it into a note holder!

You could also poke some holes into you friend so he can hold stuff!
