Introduction: Make Your Own Simple Yet Powerful Electric Motorized Longboard

About: Awesome Electronics Tutorials, Projects and How To´s

In this project I will be showing you how I combined easy to get components in order to create a powerful electric motorized longboard. The main components I will be talking about are BLDC hub motors, the FSESC (aka VESC), a 2.4GHz remote controller and finally a custom made Li-Ion battery pack. This project might not be the cheapest, but the end result will be very awesome and thus worth it! Let's get started!

Step 3: 3D Print the Enclosures!

Here you can find the 123D Design files along with the .stl files for the two required enclosures. Use them to 3D print your own.

Step 4: Make Your Own Battery Pack?!

If you do not want to use a premade 6S LiPo battery pack then feel free to follow the guidelines which I mentioned in the video in order to create your own custom battery pack:

You can also watch these 2 videos from me in order to get a better understanding on how to create a custom Li-Ion battery pack:

Step 5: Do the Wiring + Programming of the FSESC

Follow the wiring schematic as well as my provided reference pictures in order to do the wiring for your own electric longboard.

Also do not forget to configure your FSESCs with the VESC tool: https://vesc-project.com/vesc_tool .

Step 6: Success!

You did it! You just created your own electric longboard!
