Make a Rustic Doormat

About: Find more of what I do on my homepage and on Instagram. But no matter where you go, remember to Be Inspired!

Make a rustic doormat for the heavy duty rooms in your life - your workshop, a stable or any other dirt-intensive place where you need to frequent. This is based on a design seen at an outdoor museum for old farm houses in Bavaria, and it is really easy to make - granted, you are probably going to need some kind of powered saw, a table saw at best.

Materials

  • wood - scrap pieces or small boards will do nicely
  • wood glue
  • nails (or screws)

Tools

  • table saw (or circular saw, or jigsaw. Maybe even a handsaw if you are of the really skilled and patient sort)
  • hammer (or brad nailer)
