Make a Smurf Out of Modeling Clay

I thought I'd give this a wack. This is my first instructable so try to be nice. I made this smurf for a friend and I never knew how to sculpt or shape anything. Its actually very simple when it comes down to it. I used a wire frame for the support structure and different colored clay for the inside of the little blue man. I decided to save some of the blue and white for another one but in the end the color from the filling layers spoiled the outside finish. This stuff gets everywhere.

Pretty cool end result. I'd be interested in seeing where you go next with your sculpting.

Well it depends on the type of clay you use. The clay that I used does not harden and gets very soft in direct sunlight. You can use any type of clay for this project and if you use the clay that you can put in a furnace to harden then you can paint it afterwards. Should look great and last a long time
