Introduction: Maker's RULE!!!

About: Hi my name is GREG and I am a 64-years young maker. I love to make all sorts of things, and I love a challenge. Just tell me I can't do it, and I'll find a way to do it, I love solving problems. My new favorit…

As a makerspace, (The MakerBarn) we are always doing some sort of out reach, Barnes and Nobles Maker Fair, Libraries, even a real Maker Fair or two. We always like to have something to make and something to give out with our name on it for those who don't have time to make something. This is just a small and simple project you can do that will not cost much, that people seem to like. Who can't use a ruler and a small one that will fit anywhere.

Step 1: Download

Simply download the file, and feel free to alter in any way to suit your needs. One file will make 32 rulers and the other file will make two. File mrule32.ai should import as 612.397 mm x 226.614 mm, and mrule2.ai should be 155.246 mm x 57.319 mm if they're different scale it to match.

Step 2: Modify File

The file I providing is set up to make 32 "Makers Rule" six inch rulers at once, but your can edit the file make as many or as few as you need. The other file just makes two rulers but has an extra line of text to it. You can just select that line modify the text and the copy and paste as many as you need. Place your website on them or just a clever tag line. Change it to centimeters or make it some odd size 7 1/2'', 9 3/4" for all you Potter fans out there. The point is make it fun, and have fun giving them away. File mrule32.ai should import as 612.397 mm x 226.614 mm, and mrule2.ai should be 155.246 mm x 57.319 mm if they're different scale it to match.

Step 3: Make It All Pretty

As with most laser the backside sometime get and little messy, and that will never do, even though it's free it still represents you, so spend s few seconds an make it nice. Check back I will be posting other tings to make that are easy of the budget and that people seem to like. Keep Making...

Step 4: Final Word

So show others just how your makerspace measures up, people just love getting something for free, so make someone feel like a "RULER".
