Introduction: Mango Lassi (Indian Summer Cooler)

Lassi is a yogurt based drink which is served cold. It basically originated in India and Pakistan. During scorching summer Lassi is a favorite among the people.

Here I have made the sweeter version of Lassi out of mangoes. I went to the market which was flooded with mangoes. So, why not a mango Lassi! It is thirst quenching and a big relief on a hot Summer Day. Hope you like it!

Step 1: Ingredients

Serves - 4

Preparation time - 15 minutes

Ingredients:

Mango - 2 Cups (Use the varieties that are juicy and less fibrous)

Yogurt - 1 Cup

Milk - 1/2 Cup

Sugar - 3 Tbsp (Or) Adjust according to the sweetness of the mangoes

Cardamom Powder - 1/4 Tsp (optional)

Mint Leaves - 6-7

Ice cubes - 2.5 Cups (or) Adjust till the level of texture you desire

Rose Water - 1/8 Tsp (optional)

Tools Required:

Blender

Step 2: Slice

Slice the mango into small cubes.

Step 3: Blend

Transfer the mango cubes into the blender.

Blend the mangoes till they form smooth textured puree with no lumps.

Step 4: Blend the Lassi

Add the mango puree, yogurt, milk, sugar, Ice cubes, Cardamom Powder and Rose water in the blender.

Blend it till well combined.

The lassi will be of a creamy texture.

You adjust the level of yogurt and milk to get your desired texture.

Step 5: Serve!

keep the serving glass in the refrigerator till it becomes cool.

This is just to make the entire drink cool.

Pour the Lassi in the serving glass. Garnish it with mint leaves.
