Mango,

A tropical fruit, like passion fruit, that reminds us of the sunny beaches and a lazy holiday dangling on a hammock with a good book.

Every bite of a mango brings you the sweet taste of summer, with juices flowing down your fingers that you can’t help but lick with your tongue.

Apart from the great taste that mango brings, it is also a super fruit with a number of health benefits, such as decreased risk of colon cancer, improvement in digestion and bone health.

A cup of mangoes contains 100 calories, and provides 100% of daily Vitamin C needs, 35% of daily Vitamin A needs, with no cholesterol, sodium or fat.

The high nutritional value is a huge bonus for something that tastes so delicious.

We are going to show you how to add the rich and sweet mango flavours to your daily Oolong tea.

Step 1: Blend Frozen Mangoes Into Paste

The best way to mix mangoes in drinks is to combine two types of mangoes: paste and dice.

The mango paste can mix better with the Oolong tea, while the mango dice adds the chewy sensation to the drink.

In order to easily prepare mango paste and dice, frozen mangoes are used.

Unlike fresh mangoes, frozen mangoes are harder and less slippery, so they are easily cut and blended just the way you want it.

After you blend around half a cup (85 g) of frozen mangoes with a little bit of water, you get a smooth, creamy and aromatic mango paste.

Once the paste looks irresistible for a bit of finger licking action, you know it’s ready for the next step.

Step 2: Mix Syrup and Oolong Tea in a Cocktail Shaker

To bring out the fruitiness of mango and Oolong tea, we need to add a bit of syrup to the mix.

Add 2 teaspoons of syrup to the cocktail shaker with 6 oz (177 ml) of Taiwan Oolong Tea and plenty of ice.

Then shake the cocktail so hard and fast that your hands might fall it.

Keep the shaking action going for 30 seconds, or until you feel the ice has thoroughly mixed the syrup with Oolong tea and they can’t be separated again.

Step 3: Mango Paste, Ice, and Dice

As mentioned earlier, we want to add two types of mangoes, paste and dice, to the drink to maximise the mango taste explosion.

We also want to keep the drink as aesthetically pleasing as we can.

So we will lay out the ingredients in a glass in the following order.

Mango paste.

Ice cubes.

Mango dice (around 80 g).

Step 4: Pour the Oolong Tea Mix to the Mangoes

Then it all comes together by pouring Oolong tea mix gently onto the mangoes, as not to disturb the delicate formation you have constructed earlier.

As a result, the mango dice floats like icebergs on the top, while the mango paste cushions the tea at the bottom of the glass.

Remember to stir the drink just before you drink to get the most out of mangoes.
