Introduction: Marinated Garlic

Hi guys,

If you are a garlic lover, and even if you are not, this recipe is for you! I'll show you how I used to make marinated garlic. It is simply garlic cloves cooked with oil, vinegar and wine (and few others ingredients) that you can serve as snacks and apetizers. I assure that garlic lovers are going to love it even more, and the most amazing part is that persons who do not particularly like garlic are going love it as well!

What does it taste like?

-it is fresh

-It is crisp

-garlic taste is softened and mixed with olive, basil or other flavours that you can add to the recipe

-it is good for everyone, kids and adults!

Here is a video of the recipe:

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need:

  • garlic (of course)
  • white wine
  • white wine vinegar
  • olive oil
  • pesto
  • fresh basil, shallot, chives or any other aromatic plants to add flavours!

Step 2: The Garlic Cloves

At first shuck the garlic cloves! If you have some troubles or you think it is annoying, I found several techniques on the site explaining how to do it easily here, here, or here!

Step 3: Wine and Vinegar

For 100g of garlic, add about 200mL of white wine and 200mL of white wine vinegar in a saucepan, make it boil, add the cloves and let them over low heat for 10 minutes.

To finish, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool down.

Step 4: Add the Aromatic Plants, Oil, and Store It!

Add the garlic cloves in a jar of jam, and fill 2/3 of the jar with the wine and vinegar boiled mixture.

Add 2 teaspoons of pesto, and the aromatic plants you want.

Then fill up the jar with the olive oil.

Close the jar, shake it, then add to your fridge.

Step 5: Serve It!

Now serve it to your guests! It is a good apetizer, and you can serve it with olives, pickles, peanuts... And with a glass of wine for example!

Enjoy, and don't hesitate to comment and vote if you liked it!
