Step 1: Round Up Your Supplies

You'll need:

  • the cord
  • one full packet of Sugru
  • scraps from a recent Sugru project. The scraps will have to be very recent so that the Sugru has not already set.

Step 2: Wrap the Damaged Piece in Sugru.

Open the whole package of Sugru. Wrap this piece around the damaged section of your cord.

Step 3: Decorate!

Use the scraps to decorate your cord. We like polka dots, but you could always do stripes, swirls, spikes...

Step 4: And Now.... You Wait!

You need to give the Sugru some time to harden. Give it at least 24 hours. We would not recommend plugging in your using your cord during this time!

Nice! I like that you added some flare. There's no reason not to make the fix a little more fancy!
