Merry : the Chimney Sweep Robot

Merry is a little chimney sweep robot. Thanks to him, you no longer have to climb on the roof, just to let Merry do the work itself. You just have to put it on the bottom of your chemneyand it will clean the flue and, at the end, it go down itselfgo down by its own. Its mechanism allows a motion close than a real chimney sweep's one. You can use it with any type of chimney because it uses conventional brushes and you only have to swap them depending to the diameter of the flue. This robot allows you to not climb on the roof to sweep the chimney but also prevents from chimney fires that account for 1/3 of domestic fires by allowing you to sweep more often and efficiently because it is no longer a difficult or constraining . For the moment, this is only an idea which is submitted to the Design for Robotics Contest. Feel free to vote for me !

Merry est un petit robot ramoneur. Grâce à lui, plus besoin d'aller sur le toit, il n'y qu'à laisser Merry faire le travail. Il suffit de le laisser en bas de la cheminée et il s'occupera de nettoyer le conduit et redescendra tout seul. Son mécanisme permet un mouvement qui se rapproche de celui fait par un vrai ramoneur. Il peut s'adapter à n'importe quel type de cheminée car il utilise des brosses classiques et il n'y qu'à les intervertir en fonction du conduit à nettoyer. Ce robot permet, non seulement de ne plus avoir à monter sur le toit pour ramoner, mais également de prévenir des feux de cheminée qui représentent 1/3 des incendies domestiques en se permettant de ramoner plus souvent car ce n'est plus une contrainte. Il ne s'agit pour le moment que d'une idée qui est soumise au Design for Robotics Contest. N'hésitez pas à voter pour moi !
