the disc. The spinning tools used for this project are all made in my shop.

    Tell me about the modified rotary machine you show at about the 2:18 mark. I'm searching for a way to cut copper disks about the size you show, with a hole in the middle -- kind of like a 45 rpm record. Sawing with a jeweler's saw is beyond tedious and doesn't give a very smooth product. That gizmo looks awesome!

    It's a circle cutter, they are a fairly standard tool. here is a commercially made one on eBay:

    You might have to perform a more local search to find one near you.

    I think you could improvise something very similar using one of the cheap disc shears:

    A length of wood against the ceiling might suffice to hold the metal down on to the pivot. (to suggest one way to avoid building a large stiff clamp frame)
