In this instructable we are going to create a floating island in Minecraft. I like to create the island in the mountains so that instead of raining it snows!

Step 1: Create Your World.
We create a new world in Creative, however you can use one of your own worlds if you prefer.
Step 2: Find a Mountain.
As I said in the intro, I chose to build my floating island over a mountain so that it snows.
Step 3: Elevate!
From the top of the mountain start placing blocks on top of each other. Another reason for using creative is so that you can fly allowing you to place blocks directly on top of each other instead of building a tiered tower. Once your tower is high enough you can move on to the next step.
Step 4: Island Time!
Once your tower is tall enough, start placing blocks next to each other to create a platform. The larger you make your platform, the more you can do with it. I like to make mine large enough to build a house, plant a garden, and raise some animals!
Step 5: Build!
I put a fence around my island to prevent my animals from walking off the edge. Make sure it is two blocks high or the animals can jump over it and fall! Now go make it your own!
