Introduction: Mini Bow That Shoots 40 Ft!
You are peacefully eating the nicest dinner in the nicest restaurant when suddenly, the door bursts open and 10 zombies stumble in. You reach into your back pocket and grab your mini bow and arrow made completely out of household supplies. You pick off the zombies and save everybody’s lives. The town awards you with a cash prize and the key to city hall (you know, like in the cheesy superhero movies). You go home rich.

Step 1: Materials
- 4 paper clips
- Duct tape
- 1 rubber band
- Straws (for your arrows)
- Q-tips (also for your arrows)
Additional tools you may need are needle nose pliers, scissors, and a hot glue gun (plus the sticks).
Step 2: Make Your Bow
Arrange and tape the paper clips into the design shown above...(it shouldn’t be that hard)
Two of the paper clips overlapping create the hole where the arrow will go and the other two create the upper and lower limbs of the bow.
When you’re done with the frame, cut and tie the rubber band to the ends of the bow. Bend the limbs of the bow so that they resemble a...a...well, a bow. There! You’re done! Wasn’t that easy?
Step 3: Make Your Arrows
So I’ve created and tested many different types of arrows but I found that this one is by far the best.
Cut the bendy part of the straw off. You don’t want curved arrows. Then take your glue gun and push a good amount into the top end of the straw. Cut half a Q-tip and stick the non fuzzy end into the gluey end of the straw. Cut a triangle notch into the bottom end of the arrow so that it can latch onto the rubber band really easy. Now go make as many of these arrows as you want.
Step 4: Shooting
I don’t really think you guys need instructions on how to shoot one of these things but if you do, here it is:
Put the arrow in the hole in the middle of the bow and place the bottom end of the arrow onto the rubber band. Pull it back...and let go to fire!
