Introduction: Mississippi Mud

In this instructable, I will show you how to make Mississippi Mud.

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need:

1/2 c extra crunchy peanut butter

1 c sugar

1 1/2 tsp canola oil

2 tbsp cocoa powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 eggs

1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips

3/4 c all-purpose flour

approx 2 c of mini marshmallows (enough to cover the entire layer of the dish)

1/2 c Imelted unsalted butter

3/4 tsp vanilla extract

Step 2: Grab the Whisk

In a medium bowl, combine your flour, cocoa powder and salt.

Step 3: Now, Grab Your Mixer..

Using your electric mixer, combine the sugar and butter.

Step 4: Now for the Vanilla

Once the mixture has a creamy consistency, add the vanilla.

Step 5: Now Add the Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, making sure to mix the first one into the batter thoroughly before adding the next one.

Step 6: Now Time for Everything!

Pour the dry ingredients into the mixture and mix until combined.

Step 7: Prepare the Baking Dish

Line your baking dish and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 8: Add the Batter

Pour the batter into the dish and spread evenly.

Step 9: Can You Have Enough Chocolate?

Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top, covering the layer completely.

Step 10: Bake!

Place in a oven that's been preheated to 350° for about 22-25 minutes, until you can stick a fork in the batter and it comes out clean.

Step 11: Now for the Peanut Butter

In a medium saucepan on medium heat, melt the peanut butter and canola oil until it's very runny.

Step 12: Now Add It to the Baking Dish

Pour the peanut butter over the baked layer and spread evenly.

Step 13: Marshmallows!

Spread the marshmallows on top. Get into all the nooks and crannies.

Step 14: Bake (again)

Place back into the oven for about 3-5 minutes, just long for the marshmallows to expand.

Step 15: Ingredients for the Frosting:

2 c powdered sugar

2 tbsp cocoa powder

4 tbsp butter

1/8 tsp salt

1/4 c milk

Step 16: Saucepan (round 2)

Melt the butter over medium heat and add the cocoa powder. Stir until combined.

Step 17: MMMMM.....milk

Now add the milk and stir until mixed thoroughly.

Step 18: Whisking Take Two

In a large mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar and salt together.

Step 19: Now Add the Two

Stir the chocolate mixture into the powdered sugar mixture, mix thoroughly.

Step 20: Pour!

Pour the chocolate icing mixture over the marshmallow layer. Place in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to set.

Step 21: Enjoy!
