Mmmm Mmmm Monster Cookies

These monster cookies came from a traditional family cookbook from my mom's side of the family.  They are a family favorite and everyone who's had them loves them!

Step 1:

Preheat oven 350 degrees

Step 2:

Melt 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

Step 3:

Add 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar and mix.

Step 4:

Add 3 eggs, 3/4 tsp. vanilla, and 3/4 tsp. Karo syrup; continue mixing

Step 5:

Add 2 tsp. baking soda and 1 1/2 c. peanut butter; mix

Step 6:

Add 4 1/2 c. oatmel and mix

Step 7:

Add 1 c. chocolate chips and 1/2 a bag of M&M's then continue mixing

Step 8:

Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a cookie sheet (I put parchment paper on the cookie sheet so the bottoms of the cookies don't get burnt)

Step 9:

Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes

Step 10:

Finally let cool and eat!!! (recipe makes about 3.5 dozen)
