Introduction: MobconSpace-Rover

Hi guys, this is my first instructable .

I was always fascinated by space and while I was searching instructables.com,I found a space contest and decided to build this up. This is a space Rover model which is controlled by a mobile. There is a camera attached and the bluetooth sensor acting as a link between my arduino nano and my mobile through which I can move my Rover forward, backward,r right and left.So let's get started. GIVEN BELOW ARE THE LINKS OF MY ROVER'S VIDEOS FIRST ONE IS INTRO SECOND ONE IS THE MOVEMENTS.

Step 1: GATHERING of ITEMS

So here the most basic step
assemble all the parts of the Rover
1. Cardboard
2. 4 battery clips
3. 4 9v batteries
4. 4 geared motor wheels
5. 2 geared motors (150rpm each)
6. 2 dummy wheels
7. 1 arduino nano
8. bluetooth sensor(hc-05)
9. 4 dual relay switch
10.Jumper wires and adhesive

Step 2: TOOLS

These are the tools I used
1.Soldering iron
2.Glue gun
3.Jumper wires

Step 3: ATTACHING THE WHEELS

This Step according to me is one of the most important step in complete Rover making.
1.Take a Cardboard and make 4 equals hole at equal lengths
2.Now attach the dummy wheels as shown in images
3.Now take the geared motors and attach them in front part of the box
4.Now take 4 geared motor wheels and attach them to the axle of geared motors as well as dummy wheel's axle

Step 4: CIRCUIT DESIGNING

Here comes one of the difficult part.
1.I have used 4 relays as shown in image 1
2.The main circuit is on the left side
3.On the right side is the connections made using relays
4.The pins{along with numbers}marked in the diagram are attached to corresponding points in arduino nano
5.Lastly the second diagram shows connections made with Bluetooth censor(hc-05)

Step 5: ARDUINO PROGRAMMING

This the program I used to connect my arduino nano to my mobile using the bluetooth censor.

Step 6: CONNECTIONS WITH THE PHONE

This the inter face of the app
1.Go on playstore and type 'arduino bluetooth' you will find this app called arduino rc.
2.download it and then open it
3 after opening the app press 'proceed' then a options will come
4.Select HC-O5
5 menu will open go on terminal window
6.Here you give 1 as input to move it forward ,2 as input to move it back,3 as input to move it left ,4 as input to move it right.
GIVEN BELOW IS THE LINK TO HOW I CONTROL MY ROVER THROUGH MY PHONE YOU CAN GO THROUGH THIS.

Step 7: PAINTING AND DESIGNING

It was great to use my paints on it.
1 Take Cardboard and stick it in v shape as shown in images
2.In between fix a stick which acts as a stand for the camera
3.Now use aerosol paints of chrome colour and black colour.
4.Design a nasa logo and stick it in front
5.Now paint v shaped Cardboard in black and design it in a way that it looks like solar panel.

Step 8: SUGGESTIONS

1.You can add a wireless camera (I have used a wired one)
2.You can use real solar panels which provides atleast 5 volts because arduino works on 5 volts.
3.Use a strong adhesive to stick Cardboard
4.You can add small motors to showcase signal receiving(only for adding beauty to Rover)
5.You can use led to illuminate it.

Step 9: CONCLUSIONS

It was a fun experience making hope you enjoyed it.
I am always open for queries and pls if you like it vote for me in the space contest.
