I ended up building a deranged, toy mash-up for this holiday season so I thought I would share it.

For Halloween I had resized and 3D printed a Mortal Kombat Scorpion mask for the child of one of my co-workers. He gave me a Krampus Christmas ornament as a thank you gift (I love that we now live in a world where such things are commercially available). To thank him for his thank you gift I decided to make him a Christmas gift.

It turns out he is obsessed with Jojo.

Not the JoJo who burst onto the scene a decade and a half ago and has now reemerged this holiday season with a cover of Mariah Carey’s "Miss You Most (at Christmas Time)."

This Jojo. Jojo Siwa.

I was vaguely aware of her existence as a YouTube personality or something. A little Wikipedia research (has everybody made their year-end donation?) revealed her to be a former cast member of Dance Moms, the reality show that also spawned / launched the career of Honey Boo Boo.

To each his own.

Of course the first thing I thought of was Mojo Jojo from the Powerpuff Girls with Jojo Siwa’s face.

So I built one.

Step 1: Gathering Materials

Here is pretty much everything that I used to create the doll.

- A Powerpuff Girls Mojo Jojo doll

- Pressed felt

- An Avery Dark T-Shirt Transfer

- Iron or T-shirt press

- Hot glue gun and glue sticks

- Colorful bow

- Synthetic fashion hair

- Scissor and/or hobby knives

Step 2: The Original Mojo Jojo

The first thing I did was get an 8” plush Mojo Jojo from Amazon. I paid ten bucks for it, but as of the writing of this, they are now half that.

Step 3: JoJo

I found a photo of JoJo and airbrushed the head band of Mojo Jojo’s turban onto the image, I then sized the image, adjusted the contrast and did some other enhancing using Microsoft Publisher.

I then printed the image onto an Avery Dark T-Shirt Transfer.

I then applied it to a piece of black pressed felt.

Step 4: Trim

I then cut out the face.

Step 5: Doll Prep

I prepared the Mojo Jojo doll by cutting off his ears and smashing in his snout.

Step 6: Face On

I attached the Jojo face to the Mojo Jojo doll using hot glue.I don't know WHY I don't have a photo of this! GRRRR. Her's a photo pre-gluing and pre ear amputation when I was checking out placement.

Step 7: Ponytail

I then created Jojo’s trademark pony tail.

I had purchased some blonde synthetic hair from a wig shop. I grabbed a handful, put a rubber band around one end and trimmed it down.

I then put hot glue on the end to secure all of the hair together.

Step 8: Insertion and Detailing

I then put a slit into the corn of the turban, inserted the pony tail, secured it with hot glue and then added JoJo's infamous bow (spent a buck on it at Dollar Tree).
