Introduction: Mystery Pecan Pie

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

1/3 cup plus 1/4 cup sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

2 tsp. vanilla

4 eggs

1 1/4 cups chopped pecans

1 cup light corn syrup

1 unbaked (9") pie shell

Combine cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, salt, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 egg. Pour into the pie shell. sprinkle with pecans.

Combine the remaining eggs, sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and syrup. pour over pecans. bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 min.

or until center is firm.
