Introduction: New VW Beetle Interior Door Grab Pull Metal Handles Replacement Repair Fix Kit Install Instructions Guide

The Problem

It is common for the internal door handles to crack / snap on VW Beetle models.

It is very common for the interior door handles to crack and fail on VW Beetle models. These handles are made from a poor-quality plastic and over time with the weight of the doors this plastic becomes brittle and snaps, this is seemingly inevitable with these vehicles.

Volkswagen do not sell these handles individually. Their solution to the problem is a complete replacement of the door panel assembly. There are very hard to come by (not cracked already!), very expensive, tricky to fit and will ultimately fail again.

Symptoms of the fault

Cracked / split door handle and or door panel. Handle broken off totally or hanging off. Handle flimsy or loose at one end. Damaged handle making it difficult to open the door from the inside.
