OMG -- I Can't Find the Baby!

This is what we laughingly refer to as 'the office.'    Truth be told, it should have a plaque on the door with the warning:  "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here!"

Not a lot of work actually gets done here.  More time is spent searching for things than actually accomplishing things.

It didn't start out that way.  When we moved in 9 years ago, we carefully placed the 'desks', then the computers.  Over the years, we added (too) many more computers and way too many piles of paper.  And stuff.  And more stuff.  And no way to tame the stuff.

Now we're both working here many more hours each and need to remake this room into a place where work can get done.  IKEA has so many 'workspace' items -- wonderful desks (such as the Jonas desk with pull-out panel or the truly elegant BESTÅ BURS desk) and storage units by  the dozen — I scarcely know where to begin.  Suffice to say, IKEA and I can make beautiful music (or at least a terrific workspace) together.
