Introduction: Oatmeal Cookies #HMS2018
How to make oatmeal cookies!
Step 1: INGREDIENTS AND OVEN
You Will Need:
1 1/2 cups of butter (softened)
1 1/2 cups of white sugar
1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
3 cups of all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
2 1/4 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
4 1/2 cups of oats
3/4 cups of raisins (optional)
Makes 36 servings
Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees F
Step 2: MIX
First, soften your butter and put it in the bowl. Next, add in your white and brown sugar. Mix until it is well combined.
Step 3: EGGS
After you have combined the sugars and butter, you beat in the eggs one at a time.
Step 4: MIXING AGAIN
After you have combined the sugars, butter, and eggs, you add in the vanilla extract, flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. After you have added those ingredients in, you mix it in until it is well combined.
Step 5: OATS AND RAISINS
After you have well combined your ingredients, you mix in the oats and raisins and mix it well.
Step 6: CHILL
After combining in all the ingredients, you have to chill the batter in the fridge for one hour.
Step 7: MAKING THE COOKIES
Once your batter is completely cooled, take baking pan and line it with parchment paper. Next, roll your batter into spheres the size of a walnut or any desired size and place it on the paper. Then, you flatten out the spheres with a spoon and create a cookie shape.
Step 8: BAKING
Now, you place your cookies in the pre-heated oven and set a timer for it to bake. Bake it for 10 - 15 minutes.
Step 9: COOLING
Now that your cookies are done baking, take them out of the oven and cool it for 5 - 10 minutes.
Step 10: ENJOY
Now that your cookies are done cooling, you can eat them!
