First thing you need to know. Origami paper is best, if you absolutely need to use construction paper or printer paper whatevs it just will be slightly harder. After messing around with a few I've made before they do weaken over time so if you want it to last forever then go ahead and use construction paper. :)

MATERIALS: paper of some sort, we will need 3 6x6 for the petals and 3 6x6 for the leaves. I am using yellow and green.
A flat surface to work on, and this may sound silly but a warmish environment other wise your fingers cramp up from pressing on the paper in coldness.

Step 1: Petals!

We will need three of these " units "
Let's begin! :D

1: take your color if paper you want the petals to be, put the color side down. Then fold on the vertical axis. Then fold in to 4ths look at the pictures! ALWAYS CREASE WELL!!!

2: fold AB to meet AC. Then unfold.

3: now fold DE to meet DF.

4: now make a horizontal fold on the top layer as shown this step can be slightly confusing so look at the pictures!

5: rotate your paper. Pry open the top layer on the right then make the diagonal fold as shown in the pictures.

6: flip your paper over. Then fold down the little triangular tabs as shown.

7: now make two more diagonal folds as shown, once you do that you should have a diamond/ square shape.

8: now unfold your paper back to 5 it should look like the last photo. Do this two more times for a total of 3 units.

Step 2: Leaves!

1: follow steps 1-6 in the petals step. :D

2: now make a small diagonal fold on the bottom right as shown.

3: now fold the bottom tip up.

4: make a diagonal fold as shown, crease we'll and unfold.

5: rotate your paper. Now you will be familiar with this part as this is something we did on the petals. Pry open the top layer and make the horizontal fold then flatten. LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!

6: flip the paper over and make a small diagonal fold on the bottom right.

7: one more fold. See the pictures?

8: now unfold that and the little fold. Now flip it over make 2 more of these and now your leave units are done!!!! :D

Step 3: ASSEMBLING!!! :D

You are almost done! Now what do you do? You ask your mother for a bowl of mini marshmallows. You know. To fuel your fidgety fingers. :D :D :D Or not. Whatevs. :)

1: THIS COULD BE VERY HARD. DO NOT GIVE UP. ALWAYS LOOK AT THE PICTURES I WILL BE TAKING LOTS OF PICTURES.

Step 4: How to Operate Your Cube!

Pictures shall explain everything!

Do this on all sides. Adjust the leaves how you would like. :D
