Original Design From Goodwill Clothing

This design is my original creation, which I made from $75 worth of clothing from Goodwill, including the model's headpiece. I also crocheted the Obi sash as well as the flower necklace. The theme was "Around the World" and my inspiration was Japanese traditional folk styles mixed into Harajuku street styles. This garment was fully executed within a five week period of time and was part of the Goodwill Glitter Gala Design Competition at The Art Institute of Seattle in May 2012. It did not place, but I am still super proud of all the work I did on it and the skills that I acquired working on this design.

Very punky WA Lolita, it is awesome to see this style back in action other than in the GLB and on Japanese girls or Con girls... IMO it needs more poof to the skirt that a petticoat would give. Just the Lolita in me is all. I hope to see more!

It reminds me of something Janet Jackson wore in a video, it was long sleeve on one side, and not on the other. I forget which video now though...
